Hade ingen aning om att Steve Perry, originalsångaren i Journey var med i 'USA for Africa' bland alla andra. För så är det, alla som är med i den låten har mer eller mindre svalt sitt eget ego för att ställa upp i ett kollektiv. En annan tolkning kan vara att de såg det som gratis marknadsföring. Vet att jag berört samma ämne för länge sen och då var det om 'Do they know it´s christmas'. Jag vet att det gjorts några mer samtida försök att sätta ihop ett 'We are the world'-crew. Nu senast till Haiti, en version som urartar i nån rap-historia i slutet. Nej, jag håller mig till originalet, men:

Men både Shakira och framförallt Bono är väl rätt kända för att föra med sig budskap på sina konserter, samt att ställa upp med sin musik för de som har det svårt. Så dom två tror jag nog skulle kunna ställa upp på det.

Sen andra funderingen var kring om det finns samma utbud på 00-talet av så pass duktiga sångare? Mycket av musiken idag bygger så mycket mer på showen runt omkring och liknande. Att det i många lägen kan kännas som att det rent sångmässiga kan komma i andra hand. Det är ju en del med helt fantastiska röster bland dessa artister.
Paul Simon, Lionel Richie, The Boss, Michael Jackson för att bara nämna några.
Bruce skulle ju möjligen kunna ställa upp igen. Maria Carey har ju också en rätt bra pipa av mer nutida artister.

Är väl annars artister jag gärna skulle se i ett nytt försök till sammanslagning av stora artister, nu är väl ingen av dessa direkt purunga, utan jag tror nog att alla 4 faktiskt hade kunnat vara med första gången det begav sig, med viss reservation för Anthony.
Får man drömma fritt över andra personer man gärna hade haft med i den första versionen, men som tyvärr inte är i livet längre, så hade jag gärna sett.
Freddie Mercury men kanske framförallt Bob Marley sett till hans ursprung och hans övriga texter.
Hmm, jag antar utmaningen att sätta ihop en lista på 25 artister, som nu är i livet och har varit aktiva under 00-talet. Få se om det går att få ihop :D
